Marva

The European side of College Prospects of America CPOA has been run by Marva Hall and her colleague Roger Thompson since 1990 and in this time they have helped over 1900 students from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and all over mainland Europe. Marva is an American who has lived in England since 1975. She has a BA degree in English from Seattle University and a Masters in Education from the University of Southern California. She played basketball and tennis during her time at Seattle University and her main sporting interest now is tennis. She is vice-president of the Harpenden Lawn Tennis Club where she was Vice-Chairman for 13 years and Chairman for 4 years. Roger hails from the Midlands. He was a highly regarded junior tennis player for Derbyshire and then was a member of the senior county team for many years, as well as non playing captain. He has a history degree from Manchester University. At Repton School, Roger was Director of Sport, where he built up one of the most successful dynasties in British Schools' tennis with Repton winning the national title a dozen times. In 2009 he retired as Director of Sport at the school.
