Morgan has
been appointed Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis
Coach at North Alabama. Al played his tennis at Presbyterian College
in South Carolina where he was All-Conference in the SAC and was
ranked #17 in the NCAA Div. II. |

Many congratulations to tennis player Matthew Brooklyn from Hillingdon, Middlesex who has been voted Pac-10 Rookie of the Year for his outstanding performance this year for Arizona State University. Matt is the first ASU player to win this award. |
| Congratulations to Camille Gandhi, a freshman at Stanford University, who was voted Nor-Pac Rookie of the Year, and who helped her team to reach the National Championships and to her coach Lesley Irvine, who was Nor-Pac Coach of the Year. |
Alice Barnes hails
from Cambridge and graduated from Stanford University where she
won the NCAA Division I doubles title, reached the singles semi-finals,
was part of the team that won the National Championship and was
voted NCAA Player of the Tournament.
CPOA
also assisted her brother Adrian who graduated from Cal Berkeley
and her sister Ruth who graduated from Northwestern in Chicago.

Chris
Mulvaney
is from Cumbria and graduated from the University of Arkansas in
2004 where he was a multiple All-American in cross country, indoor
and outdoor track.
In May 2004 he won the NCAA Division I 1500 meter title and in July
he won the AAA’s 1500 meter title. |

Luke Donald
was a CPOA client who
graduated from Northwestern in 2007 and is now firmly established
on the US PGA Tour. In 1999 he was NCAA Division I National Champion.
He earned his US Tour Card in 2001, has won
twice on the US PGA Tour, twice on the European Tour and was part
of the victorious 2004 and 2006 Ryder Cup teams. In 2006
he was 3rd at the Masters, 3rd at the USPGA and is ranked in the
Top 10 in the world. He is a member of CPOA’s National Board
of Advisers.

Karen
Stupples
Karen Stupples won the British Open, one of the four Grand Slam
events in 2004 and in 2005 represented Europe in the Solheim Cup.
She attended Arkansas State for a year before
transferring to Florida State in 1993. She won her LPGA Tour Card
in 1998 at her first attempt and won her first tour event, the Welch’s/Fry’s
Championship in 2004. She is a member of CPOA’s National Board of
Advisors.

Simon
Earnshaw attended
Georgia College and State before accepting the post of Head Men’s
and Women’s tennis coach at Armstrong Atlantic in Georgia.
In 2005 his
women’s team won the NCAA Division II National Championship
and he was voted the Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Year.

Sam
Winterbotham
CPOA
client who was an NAIA tennis All-American at Oklahoma Christian
University.
Sam was Head
Men’s Tennis Coach at the Colorado University between 2002
and 2006. After budgetary constraints forced the cancellation
of several sports at Colorado, including tennis, he has recently
joined the University of Tennessee as Head Women's Coach.

Becky
Morgan
was
placed at the University of North Carolina @ Greensboro in 1994.
While
at University Becky won 10 NCAA div 1 medallist titles and was
a three time All-American. Becky graduated in 1998. In 2001 she
won her European Tour Card and in 2002 her US Tour Card. Although
she is yet to win an LPGA title, she has numerous 2nds and 3rds.
In July 2004 she was lying 13th of the LPGA Money List and was
world ranked 28.

Matthew
Thompson from
Essex attended Slippery Rock University (PA) on a soccer scholarship.
He
served as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Robert Morris
University (PA) before accepting the Men’s Head Coaching
position at Slippery Rock in 2003

Kevin
Ray from
Kent spent four years at the University of Montevallo in Alabama
and two years playing pro soccer in the US with the Louisiana
Outlaws and the Palm Beach Pumas before accepting the Head Men’s
Coaching job at Huntingdon College in Alabama, a highly regarded
NCAA Division III college.

and William Barker from
the West Midlands, played for Rice University (TX) where they
were ranked as the #1 doubles pair in college tennis for two years
running.

Claire
Carter from
Nottingham attended the University of Washington and won singles,
doubles and team All-American honours numerous times throughout
her college career.
She
graduated in 2004 and has just been hired as the Assistant Women’s
Coach at her alma mater. |
